The quintessential Pacific Northwest endeavor can be realized while swinging a fly for Steelhead. The thrill of connecting with these beloved and elusive sea-going fish who travel as far as the coasts of Russia before returning to their native spawning grounds of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Northern California can only be understood by the experience itself.
We spend the majority of the summer days on the McKenzie because of the sheer volume of fish in the river, the water is clear and cold and the landscape is beautiful. September-April brings the focus to Steelhead and coastal rivers like the Siuslaw, and the Smith just to name a few.
